Community Services

Mini Mayor
Kids’ Office Visits (Ages 4–11)
Every child deserves to feel like they belong in their community—and that their voice matters.
During their visit to my office, young residents will enjoy a fun and inspiring experience that introduces them to the world of local government.
Together, we will:
-
Paint a rock to take home or leave behind at Town Hall
-
Sit at the Mayor’s desk for a commemorative photo
-
Receive a personalized Mayor’s Certificate of Recognition
This visit helps children see themselves as part of Casselman’s future—one rock, one smile, one memory at a time.
Note: A parent or guardian must accompany children during the visit.

Youth Leadership Mentorship
Shaping Casselman’s Future (Ages 12–17)
Our young people aren’t just the leaders of tomorrow—they’re already shaping our community today. This mentorship opportunity is designed to empower youth to lead, ask bold questions, and learn how local government works from the inside out.
Whether you’re a student, part of a youth group, or a young changemaker with big ideas, you’re invited to meet with me—on your own or with peers—to:
-
Share your vision for Casselman
-
Learn how to navigate municipal processes
-
Get support building and launching your own youth-led initiative or event
-
Build confidence in advocacy and civic participation
Each participant receives a Certificate of Youth Civic Leadership and a commemorative photo with the Mayor.
Flexible Scheduling:
I’m happy to work with local schools, homeschoolers, and parents to schedule sessions after school at the Casselman Public Library, or within the classroom setting. If you're an educator or family looking to bring youth leadership to life, I’d love to collaborate.
Note: For sessions held at the library or municipal spaces, youth under 16 must be accompanied by a parent, guardian, or designated adult. For school-based sessions, this does not apply. A signed waiver and parent permission form is required for all participants under 18.

Coffee with the Mayor
Local Government Up Close (Ages 18+)
Understanding how local government works shouldn’t be a mystery. That’s why I offer Coffee with the Mayor—a welcoming opportunity for residents aged 18 and up to meet with me one-on-one or in small groups. Whether you're interested in learning about municipal processes or discussing specific policies and bylaws that affect you, this is your chance to engage directly with your local government.
These conversations are personal, informal, and deeply rooted in transparency. Whether you're curious about how council meetings work, how agendas are created, or how decisions are made—this is your opportunity to gain insights and share your perspectives.
Note: All meetings are by appointment. You’re welcome to book individually or with a small group. After-hours appointments will be held at the Casselman Public Library to ensure a safe, accessible, and public space for everyone.
